Cover Story | Issue 2 Front Cover

This cover illustrates the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in advancing the study and development of energy conversion and storage devices. Taking the Proton-solid oxide cells (P-SOC) as an example, which can be used for hydrogen production in electrolysis mode and electricity generation in fuel cell mode. AI not only can be used to develop the key materials, such as air electrode, electrolyte, but also can analyze the complex relations behind the reported data, guiding the design of experiment, and thus accelerating the commercialization of P-SOCs. The synergy between AI and P-SOC represents a new paradigm in energy research. This interdisciplinary approach not only accelerates scientific discovery but also bridges the gap between fundamental research and practical applications.

Antiferroelectric (AFE) capacitors with large power densities, low loss, good temperature stability and fast charge and discharge rates are eagerly desired for the potential application in advanced pulsed power-storage system. The reliability and stability of anti-ferroelectric dielectric capacitors also make them favored in the field of electric vehicles, especially in complex working environments, which can maintain good performance and is not easy to be affected by temperature, vibration and other factors.
